Director General of the Coordination Department of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

Mr Shen Chong graduated from Shaanxi Normal University in 1982, majoring in History. In 1984, he worked for the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, where he communicated with professionals among intellectuals in China. He acted as the Deputy Chairman of the “Bauhinia Magazine” in Hong Kong in 1995. From 2002, he successively held posts as Vice Director-General and Director-General of the Sixth Bureau of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee. Since November 2009, he has been acting as the Director-General of the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong.

Mr Shen Chong is also a member of the 12th and 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
